Learn More Sheboygan Lottie Cooper Shipwreck Ever walked through a shipwreck? You’ll get your chance at the site of the Lottie Cooper, a three masted wooden schooner built in 1876. In 1894, the wooden schooner was caught by a howling northwest gale and ultimately capsized and sank along the Sheboygan shoreline. Five of the six people on board were rescued. The wreck remained on the bottom of Sheboygan harbor, silted in and forgotten, until a marina development project uncovered it. The free trail connects historic downtowns with natural landscapes and is used for hiking, biking, in-line skating, walking, running and cross-country skiing.
